Years later, Shelton is found guilty of the crime and gives Nick Rice an ultimatum.

The sequel to Law Abiding Citizen has been greenlit by Village Roadshow Pictures. The sequel will be directed by Lucas Foster and written by Kurt Wimmer. Gerard Butler is returning to the role. He will co-produce the film with Alan Siegel.

The sequel to Kurt Wimmer’s ‘Law Abiding Citizen’ is on the way. Produced by Lucas Foster, the film will feature Gerard Butler and is slated for release on October 16. It’s a political thriller and is expected to gross more than $130 million worldwide. Previously, Wimmer and Foster worked together on ‘Equilibrium’ starring Christian Bale and ‘Street Kings’ starring Keanu Reeves. The pair have also worked together on a Stephen King reboot of the “Children of the Corn.” Kurt Wimmer is currently writing “The Beekeeper,” which will feature Jason Statham and David Ayer.
The storyline of the movie follows a cop whose job is to protect the public from dangerous criminals. Clyde Darby, a former criminal, is on the streets of Philadelphia, trying to take on the justice system. While his last two films have been somewhat realistic, this latest effort feels downright ridiculous. The plot is predictable, and the movie is so overstuffed with cliches that the title is an oxymoron.
State Department of Homeland Security
The state Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has used social media to monitor the social media accounts of civil rights and immigration activists. It has also spied on Black Lives Matter activists. The FBI has created a bogus category of “Black Identity Extremism” that can be interpreted to cover protests against police violence and is being used to justify the surveillance of black activists. Similarly, the DHS’ Office of Intelligence & Analysis used social media to monitor the protestors in Portland, OR. The agency justified the surveillance by pointing to a potential threat of vandalism and protests.
DHS has also engaged in surveillance of law-abiding citizens, which may have gone beyond the boundaries of authorized US law enforcement and intelligence gathering. Moreover, news commentators have drawn comparisons between environmental activism and terrorist attacks to bolster criticism of the PA Office of Homeland Security. These comparisons have called into question the overall basis for the domestic surveillance program.
